It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Denise Sauriol-Gariépy on August 9th, 2022, at the Hospital Maisonneuve-Rosemont Palliative Residence. She passed away surrounded by her son and his family all who were dearest to her heart as she was to them.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Denise knew she was fiercely independent, living in the same house whom she shared with her loving husband Marice Gariépy (predeceased 2006), together raising their son François, only to leave her home upon her passing at age of 97 years. Denise enjoyed the simple pleasures life had to offer and will be remembered for the twinkle in her eyes bringing joy to all as she smiled at the end of a family meal with a glass of wine and a chocolat dessert.

Daughter of Germaine and Honoré Sauriol, sister to Roger, Maurice, Bernard and surviving brother Jean Sauriol. Survived by her only son François Gariépy and spouse Frances Szeto and her grandchildren; Zachary and Justin Gariepy who she loved dearly.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 14 th 2022 between hours of 11am to 2pm followed by a service.
